Lac Hong University (LHU) and FPT Long Chau Pharmacy Chain have officially signed a strategic cooperation agreement on training and human resource development. The event underscores LHU’s vision of linking higher education with real-world industry demands.
Clear Pathways for Internships and Employment
Under the agreement, LHU will design curricula closely aligned with business needs, while expanding internship and employment opportunities for students during their studies. On the corporate side, FPT Long Chau commits to providing practical training environments, expanding its recruitment scale, and welcoming high-quality graduates from LHU—fully aligned with its long-term strategy of strengthening distribution systems and improving community healthcare.
“This collaboration is a living testament to LHU’s philosophy: ‘No promises – only action.’ We believe that only when education is directly connected to real-world practice can it generate genuine and lasting value for society,” said Dr. Lam Thanh Hien, Rector of Lac Hong University.
“We do not stop at theoretical training; we ensure that students experience real practice, refine their professional skills, and are fully prepared for employment upon graduation. LHU is committed to producing pharmacists who are not only professionally competent but also socially responsible, ready to contribute to the sustainable development of the healthcare sector and the community,” added Dr. Nguyen Thi Nhu Quynh, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Contribution to the Sustainable Development Goals
This partnership marks a significant step toward advancing SDG4 (Quality Education) by fostering practice-oriented learning, and SDG8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) by creating sustainable employment opportunities for graduates.
More importantly, the collaboration highlights SDG17 (Partnerships for the Goals), addressing the metrics on university–industry collaboration and community engagement.
In addition, FPT Long Châu announced plans to jointly develop initiatives with LHU in healthcare research and innovation, aligning with SDG3 (Good Health and Well-being).
Long-term Impact
This comprehensive partnership goes beyond short-term recruitment. It establishes a long-term roadmap linking training, research, and practice. Experts suggest that the LHU–FPT Long Chau model could be replicated as a benchmark for effective university–industry partnerships in Vietnam, thereby enhancing sustainable development scores for both institutions in future rankings.
“This handshake is not only about human resources, but also about social responsibility and a shared vision for sustainable development,” emphasized a representative of FPT Long Chau.
