12 LHU students complete INTENSE Chinese Language Program, achieving A2 – B1 proficiency

After six months of implementation, the INTENSE Chinese language training program at LHU has recorded positive results. Of the 19 students participating in the program, 12 achieved Chinese language proficiency at the A2 and B1 levels in line with the program’s training roadmap. This outcome reflects the students’ strong learning efforts, as well as perseverance throughout the intensive course.

Outstanding students of the program

The INTENSE Chinese language program is an intensive traditional Chinese training course under the INTENSE Scholarship, funded by the Ministry of Education of Taiwan (MOE). The program is designed for students who have not yet met the language requirements to pursue a master’s degree taught in Chinese, but plan to study and work in Taiwan in the future.

With a total of 300 study hours within six months, the program requires a high level of learning intensity, with classes held five days a week, two hours per session. Maintaining such a demanding schedule over a long period requires strong discipline and persistence. The students’ results clearly demonstrate their strong commitment to learning and long-term academic goals.

In addition to a full tuition waiver and free TOCFL mock tests, program graduates are eligible to apply for the International Industrial Talents Education Special Program organized by Taiwan’s Ministry of Education. This initiative offers support policies such as tuition assistance, monthly living allowances, and opportunities to work in Taiwan after graduation, thereby expanding students’ academic and career pathways.
