The opening plenary session was led by Ms. Marina Gorbis, Executive Director of the Institute for the Future, with a presentation titled “Foresight in Times of Chaos” emphasizing the importance of creative thinking, adaptability, and future-oriented thinking amid rapid technological transformation. Ms. Gorbis and Dr. Chris Howard, ASU Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, further discussed AI’s role in higher education, leadership capabilities, and the capacity to proactively shape the future.
