Delegation from Quy Nhon University visits and works with LHU

On April 10, 2025, LHU honorably received a delegation from Quy Nhon University (QNU) for an official visit and working session, marking a significant step forward in the partnership and experience-sharing between two prestigious higher education institutions in Vietnam.

About QNU

QNU, formerly known as Quy Nhon University of Education, was established in 1981. In 2003, it was officially renamed Quy Nhon University, with the aim of becoming a multi-disciplinary university. With over 45 years of establishment and development, QNU has grown significantly in terms of training scale, academic quality, and human resources.

Currently, QNU has 13 faculties and departments, offering 46 undergraduate programs across disciplines including education, natural sciences, social sciences and humanities, economics - finance, engineering, and technology, serving nearly 15,000 full-time students. The University also delivers 25 master's programs and 3 doctoral programs with over 1,000 graduate students. Additionally, it provides Vietnamese language training as well as undergraduate and graduate education for Lao students from the provinces of Attapeu, Champasak, Salavan, and Sekong.

QNU's strong team of lecturers and staff serves as a crucial foundation for implementing fundamental and comprehensive reforms in higher education, with a focus on standardization, modernization, and international integration.

About LHU

Founded in 1997, LHU has over 27 years of establishment and development, becoming one of the prestigious private higher education institutions in the Southern region. Following a multi-disciplinary development strategy, the University currently consists of 10 different faculties, offering 28 undergraduate programs, 8 master's programs, and 2 doctoral programs with an enrollment of over 10,000 students.

LHU plays a vital role in supplying high-quality human resources for 32 industrial zones and over 40,000 businesses in the Southern Key Economic Region. It is also a destination for international students from Laos, Cambodia, and China for Vietnamese language, undergraduate, and postgraduate programs.

To enhance global integration, LHU has established partnerships with over 100 international universities and organizations, 46 foreign and more than 256 domestic businesses. Notably, its membership in the ASU–Cintana Alliance is a strategic move that enhances the University’s global competitiveness and provides students, lecturers, and staff with international-standard opportunities in learning, teaching, and research.

At the working session, the two institutions discussed practical and specific areas of collaboration:

Exchanging and sharing experiences in quality assurance and assessment in the digital era

Both sides exchanged insights on digitalizing exam and grade management to enhance efficiency and security.
LHU shared its experience in developing and applying software for outcome-based assessment, supporting faculty and staff in saving time and effort while meeting both national and international standards.

  • Discussing the development of information systems for academic management and operations

LHU has developed its information system since its early years, featuring user-friendly software, websites, and applications, supported by high-speed internet connectivity to effectively serve management, teaching, and learning activities.

Introducing AI tools for education and management

LHU has developed and implemented LHU AI - a digital assistant integrated into its internal information system, allowing staff, lecturers, and students to quickly access class schedules, exam timetables, official documents, instructions, and other support services.

  • In addition, the University has introduced various AI applications that assist in planning lessons, developing rubrics, designing exams, and creating teaching plans.

Future collaboration vision

The two universities also discussed plans for comprehensive cooperation in the near future, focusing on areas including training, scientific research, academic exchange, technology transfer in education, and the application of emerging technologies like AI in management and teaching activities. This event strengthens the partnership between the two sides while opening up numerous opportunities for sustainable development, jointly working towards the goal of improving the quality of higher education in Vietnam in the context of globalization.
