Faculty of Logistics and Supply Chain Management Visits Japan-Mekong Regional Logistics Training Center in Vietnam

On the afternoon of May 13, 2025, the faculty members of the Logistics and Supply Chain Management program under the Faculty of Finance and Accounting, Lac Hong University, conducted a meaningful field visit and study tour at the Japan-Mekong Regional Logistics Training Center in Vietnam, affiliated with Vietnam Maritime University.

This activity was part of a broader initiative to strengthen cooperation between academia and industry. It aimed to enhance the professional capacity of the teaching staff, while providing updates on current educational trends and technological advancements in the field of logistics and supply chain management.

During the session, representatives from the Center presented an overview of its establishment and development, internationally standardized training programs, and its strategic direction in developing high-quality logistics human resources for the Mekong subregion. Particularly, the faculty delegation had the opportunity to tour the Center’s modern practice facilities and experience simulation systems that replicate logistics processes within the Industry 4.0 environment—an essential element in modern logistics education.

The visit not only allowed faculty members to explore advanced training models but also laid the groundwork for long-term collaboration between the two institutions in education, research, and the organization of internship and practicum programs for students in the near future.

The trip left a strong and positive impression, providing valuable insights for the faculty team. It represents a proactive step toward innovating teaching methods, integrating theory with practice, and enhancing the training of high-quality logistics professionals in response to the demands of global integration and development.
